So I had to let you all know the good news. We have been discharged and are getting everything ready to leave. Ava has no idea but she will be so happy.
They sprung on me in the very last hour that I would be watching the g-tube....I will be changing it after I watch them do it for the first time. It gets changed every three months. TAKE it OUT and put a new one back in that hole? Yikes....okay just another one of the many things I have to do for Ava's care. "Piece of cake, right?"
I'll let you know when we get home! Thanks for the prayers. She had another great day.

Beautiful Ava, I'm so excited for you and your mommy. I think you will feel so much better in your own home, own bed and now get to be back with your big sisters and daddy!!
Terri, I'm so amazed at how fast she recovered. Your right, God knew what was best for her. She is looking awesome! Hope you get a great night sleep in your own bed!!
Congrats Ava!! I am so glad you get to go home. Terri, remember what I said about the g-tube. It sounds hard at first but will become very easy. Please, if you have any questions about it, email me.

YAY! I know you are both so ready to get out of there. Ava looks wonderful. And I think you will do fine with the g-tube after all the other medical tasks you have had to do -- they should give you an honorary nursing degree.
