Well Ava had a very restful day today so I decided to take the opportunity to put her journey into a movie. If you know someone who has a child with CDH PLEASE pass this video on.
Terri, I just got back in town and saw this video. It breaks my heart to see Ava like that but it really shows how strong she is.
I think the signs of reherniation can vary so much. We were told it would be obvious signs of trouble breathing. It wasn't like that at all for Jack. He was vomitting and wouldn't eat. He also had this popping sound that he made when he would bear down or cry. It was great of you to put the signs to watch for at the end of the video. Every CDH parent should know them!
Hang in there and I am praying for Ava every day, several times a day.
I only found Ava's site a couple weeks ago, but I am in awe of this video. What strength your adorable daughter and your entire family have. I was blessed with six children and I have just gone and hugged each and every one of them.. life is just too precious! I will continue to pray for sweet Ava and your family!

Terri, I had tears watching this. I can only imagine how difficult it is to watch her this way, but as you've said......She has much strength!
The power of prayer is so evident. Thanks for sharing her story....it may help another child be saved.
